Hayley Orantia is American actress, musician and singer. Many people recognize her character Erica Goldberg in the comedy The Goldbergs' TV show. She considers herself to be the best musician of all. She says that music has always been her first passion. When she was 12, she had taken the music seriously enough that she began training professionally. Following a few attempts at music, she decided to record her first album of music covers when she was 14. Since then she's never been back. Orrantia was born in the USA but she is a native of the United States with Hispanic roots. Despite the fact that she only spoke English as a child and never visited Mexico Orrantia feels extremely proud of her Hispanic background. To keep her heritage, she's learned Spanish and composed songs that are in Spanish. She recorded a Spanish version of a track entitled 'Hasta Verte. Orrantia was selected to audition for the first season, which aired in summer 2011. Orrantia was chosen out of an YouTube video and was awarded the judges' four "yes" votes from judges at the time of live auditions at Seattle, Washington. She originally auditioned solo, however, during "Hollywood week" she was put along with three female vocalists in a trio for the remainder of the auditions. The group was removed from the show in the fifth week of live performances.
