Lisa Olivia Munn, a well-known actress and performer was born at Oklahoma City. Kimberly Schmid was born in Vietnam and has Chinese heritage, yet her father Winston Barrett Munn comes from an American family. Olivia was 2 years old when she was divorced from her parents. The family now is run by her stepfather and mom. He is a United States Air Force soldier. The majority of her childhood was spent in Tokyo, Japan, even when the family moved frequently. During this time she performed in a number of local theater productions, and then began modeling for the Japanese fashion business. As the family retreated back to the United States, Olivia moved to Los Angeles to pursue her dream of becoming an actress. After playing a couple of parts and a few small roles, her career took off on a very promising turn after she secured the part as Mily Acuna in Hawaii's lensed television show Beyond the Break (2006) and also the role of Rob Schneider's receptionist in Big Stan (2007). She hosts "The Daily Nut", "Formula D", and "The Formula D Podcasts" on G4. Her passion for surfing has been evident following the television program Beyond the Break. She has also earned the black belt in taekwondo. In the year she turned two old, her mother got married again, this time to one in the US Air Force. The majority of her childhood was spent in Tokyo, Japan where her stepfather was a member. Attending the University of Oklahoma where she was a journalism major, with minors of Japanese and drama art.
