Cassandra Monique Batie is a performer, songwriter and actress from the United States. She has a specialization in R&B & soul. The accolades she has received include the Grammy Award as well as an Children's and Family Emmy Award and Golden Globe Award. She is also nominated for the Academy Award. She sang in churches and enrolled in the School of Creative and Performing Arts. Growing up and listened to music of the present, she was a fan of contemporary R&B songs and eventually pop. But her soul was always drawn to classical soul and jazz singers. Kai Millard Morris caught her show and offered her music to Stevie Wonder. Motown legend Adrian Gurvitz was introduced to Day by the Motown legend. Day, allied with Gurvitz's Buskin label as well as Jeffrey Evans' Buskin record company, gained a cult following on YouTube before signing to Warner Bros. in 2012. Day then released her debut single Forever Mine. The track was soon received by DJs, who started airing the track on radio. Following her signing with Warner Bros. Records, she started working with producer Adrian Gurvitz on the album she released as her first "Cheers to the fall" (2015). The single "Rise Up" has become a massive anthem for social justice campaigns. The album won two times for Grammys. This included Best R&B Album. The United States Versus Billie Holiday is her second album that was released in the year 2019 and an album that was conceptually based on the life of Billie Holiday. The United States against Billie Holiday was released in 2021, the year that she also appeared as Holiday. Andi matichak (born August 25, 1970) is an American actor. Her first appearance on television was in, appearing on shows like Orange Is the New Black & Blue Bloods. She then made her movie debut with Halloween and its sequels in the role of Allyson. Andi Matichak is an American actress who was born on March 3, 1994, in Framingham Massachusetts, United States of America.
