Sara Ramirez
Sara Ramirez (born Sara Ramirez) is a Mexican American performer, singer and actress. In her early years, Sara was racially taunted by American citizens of all races. The confidence started to build in the ninth grade when she entered a school audition. She was praised for her performance. The experience not only helped the confidence of her, but also altered her outlook on the future. The 22-year-old earned an education from the Julliard School in New York. As she was turning 23 she began her career on Broadway in Paul Simon's The Capeman. Then, at 23 years old she made her film debut in You've Got Mail. The greatest accomplishment of her career occurred in the role of The Lady Of The Lake on Spamalot's initial Broadway production. She did not only win the Tony Award, but her performance was also well-received by the critics. Later in the same year she joined the ABC program Grey's Anatomy as Dr. Callie Torres and gained wider acceptance for the role. In addition to being a popular singer, she released a solo and an extended piece. As an activist, she is a tireless advocate for LGBT equality.
